It was a cracking start for the Ice Overlord as he goes straight into 23rd place in the league standings. Here is his opening day roster as well as an update heading in to week 2. We’ll catch up with “Ice/Mr Overlord” every few weeks to see what changes he has made.
❄️ THE ICE OVERLORD — WEEK 1 REVIEW & STRATEGY UPDATE
A strong opening week for the Frozen Overlord — the spine of the roster delivered exactly as designed. Greenfield’s monster performance anchored the team, the defensive core produced steady, high‑value returns, and the forward trio of Sanford, Doherty, and Balmas provided the scoring punch needed to break into the top 25. The only real underperformance came from Dubois, whose low shot volume and lack of PP involvement were clear on the EIHL game sheets. With just £1m available, the logical upgrade was Tyler Busch — a forward with stronger shot generation, better PP usage, and a higher ceiling without breaking team limits or the budget. As for captaincy, Sanford remains the Overlord’s choice: elite shot volume, PP1 deployment, and consistent involvement in Guildford’s offence make him the most reliable double‑points weapon heading into Week 2.
