After a poor run of form combined with injury woes, the Belfast Giants are making multiple moves to improve their roster. Chad Butcher and Colby McAuley are confirmed as leaving the club and they have announced former defenceman Josh Roach is returning.
Roach was with the Giants in 2018/19 and in his first professional season scored a spectacular 54 points in 60 games, and all this from the blueline. Although he can play forward, we expect Josh to fill in on defence were injuries have hit the most.
In terms of value Josh slightly outperformed his 7.5M value in 2018/19, however he has joined Belfast off the back of a bad injury which ended his previous season early. That coupled with getting familiar to his new teammates means we will keep a 7.5M rating. If he is fully recovered from injury and settles quickly he could be a must have player in your team.
