Congratulations to Karl Seed and his team Ulett The Dogs Out who claimed the 2025/26 FHL UK League Title. He was the strong favourite heading into the final week with a 119 point lead over Jon Newbould’s Jere The Berry, in what has been a two team battle for a while now. The tenth highest score in the week extended his winning margin to 221.1 and his his name on the FHL UK hall of fame.
Now the season is over and before everyone can enjoy the two playoff weekends, lets look at some of the final player numbers across the season.
In terms of selections Colton Saucerman was the most selected player by the end of the season being on the roster of 155 teams. Interestingly though he lost 22 selections when comparing the last week against the first week, which was the fourth most across the league. He had such a lead at the start of the season that nobody managed to catch him up, with Brandon Estes and Mitchell Balmas being the closest.
| Player | Position | Team | Selections |
| Colton Saucerman | Defence | Coventry Blaze | 155 |
| Brandon Estes | Defence | Cardiff Devils | 141 |
| Mitchell Balmas | Forward | Sheffield Steelers | 130 |
| Mike Lee | Defence | Belfast Giants | 118 |
| Dominic Cormier | Defence | Sheffield Steelers | 106 |
| Matthew Gleason | Forward | Coventry Blaze | 91 |
| Kevin Carr | Goalie | Nottingham Panthers | 84 |
| Brett Neumann | Forward | Glasgow Clan | 83 |
| Mitchell Fossier | Forward | Nottingham Panthers | 81 |
| Alessio Luciani | Forward | Coventry Blaze | 79 |
For overall player scores Mike Lee has had a huge lead for most of the season and his 884 points was 153 clear of Mitchell Balmas in second, and he was a further 81 points ahead of Manchester’s Nick Welsh in third. Behind Welsh it was much tighter with smaller gaps separating the rest of the pack. The link below has the full player scores for the season.
Finally we’ll look at the MVP of the league, for the most valuable player. This is decided by dividing the players final points total by their initial value at the start of the season. Obviously the players who joined mid way through the season are unlikely to be included as they won’t have gathered enough points by the end of the season, although Jordan Power almost made this list having only played half a season. His 77.56 points per million was driven by having a low 4.5m valuation and then averaging 23.3 points per week.
No surprise Mike Lee wins the MVP after having a huge lead in the overall scoring all season. He averaged 29.5 points per week and only had two blank weeks in the whole season.
| Player | Position | Team | Points per Million |
| Mike Lee | Defence | Belfast Giants | 110.50 |
| Matthew Gleason | Forward | Coventry Blaze | 89.82 |
| Nicholas Welsh | Defence | Manchester Storm | 86.67 |
| Brandon Estes | Defence | Cardiff Devils | 85.87 |
| Jere Vertanen | Defence | Coventry Blaze | 84.77 |
| Mathieu Gosselin | Forward | Guildford Flames | 83.85 |
| Grayson Constable | Forward | Coventry Blaze | 81.60 |
| Tristin Langan | Forward | Glasgow Clan | 80.25 |
| Brady Gilmour | Forward | Manchester Storm | 78.31 |
| Grant Mismash | Forward | Coventry Blaze | 78.00 |
We’ll have one more post to wrap up this season once our NHL Fantasy game finishes in a week’s time. Then work starts on next seasons game where hopefully you can all join us again!
