Gameweek 26 was a proper statement week. Ulett The Dogs Out didn’t just top the weekly standings, they took a huge bite out of Jere the Berry’s overall lead and turned what looked like a comfortable cushion into a proper scrap again.
Gameweek 26 winners
The weekly table belonged to Ulett The Dogs Out, who led the way with a massive 470.2. Newark Trashers IHC were not far behind on 460.7, while Ninja Hockey Turtles took third with 451.3. Massive Deke and Puck Drop Pals rounded out the top five with 444.9 and 444.2 respectively. It was a huge-scoring round at the top, with Tallbergs Predators also pushing 438.9 and Blast Past posting 433.9.
The overall standings
At the top of the overall table, Jere the Berry still hold first on 8040.2, but the gap is now only 9.4 points back to Ulett The Dogs Out on 8030.8. That is the big story of the week. Last week the gap was 118.7, so Ulett’s monster gameweek has turned the title race from “under control” into “do not touch that dial.”
Behind them, A Team Has No Name move up into 3rd on 7672.2, nudging The Kessel Run down to 4th on 7660.8. Tallbergs Predators climb to 5th, Belaks Blaze sit 6th, and The Flying Puckhits drop from 5th to 7th. Nottingham Trojans remain 8th, while Newark Trashers IHC climb into 9th and Puck Drop Pals complete the top ten in 10th. That leaves Reading Royals just outside in 11th after slipping two spots.
Big movers from last week
There were a few notable jumps in the overall standings:
- Newark Trashers IHC move from 10th to 9th after finishing second on the week.
- Puck Drop Pals rise from 11th to 10th and break into the top ten.
- A Team Has No Name overtake The Kessel Run for third.
- Tallbergs Predators move up from 6th to 5th.
- Massive Deke make one of the more eye-catching climbs, jumping from 24th to 21st after a top-four weekly score.
- Blast Past are another big riser, climbing from 33rd to 28th on the back of a 430+ week.
A couple of teams felt the squeeze too. The Flying Puckhits fell from 5th to 7th, and Reading Royals dropped from 9th to 11th, showing how tight that cluster behind the top two has become.
Star performers
The skater leaderboard was led by a tie at the top. Didrik Henbrant and Matt Marcinew both put up 53.0 points, with Henbrant delivering 2 goals and 3 assists, and Marcinew matching him with 3 goals and 2 assists. Chase Pearson followed on 49.0, while Mathieu Gosselin and Nolan Volcan both landed on 47.0.
On defence, Cooper Zech was the standout with 39.0, closely followed by Dominic Cormier on 38.0. David Noël, Zsombor Garát, and Jakob Stridsberg all hit 35.0, so it was a very strong week for blue-line scoring.
In goal, Emil Kruse was the top netminder on 26.0, just edging Kevin Carr on 25.9. Carr’s 2 wins and 59 saves still made him one of the most influential goalie plays of the round.
Team of the Week
Using the usual one goalie, two defencemen, three forwards setup, the Gameweek 26 Team of the Week looks like this:
G: Emil Kruse – 26.0
D: Cooper Zech – 39.0
D: Dominic Cormier – 38.0
F: Didrik Henbrant – 53.0
F: Matt Marcinew – 53.0
F: Chase Pearson – 49.0
That is a properly filthy fantasy six. If someone had all of those, they were probably grinning like a coach who accidentally found an extra import slot.
Selection trends
The most-selected player remains Colton Saucerman with 156 picks, followed by Brandon Estes on 142 and Mitchell Balmas on 133. Further down, Mike Lee was selected 118 times and Dominic Cormier 103.
What stands out this week is that some of the crowd favourites did deliver, but the biggest rewards came from managers who had the hotter hands. Cormier turned his heavy ownership into 38.0 points, Matthew Gleason produced 39.0, and Kevin Carr gave managers a strong return in goal. By contrast, ultra-popular names like Saucerman and Estes were solid rather than explosive.
What it means
The big headline is obvious: Ulett The Dogs Out have blown the title race wide open. A week ago they were chasing hard; now they are basically parked on Jere’s bumper waiting for the next red light.
Below them, the race for the remaining top-ten spots is getting even tighter. Newark Trashers IHC and Puck Drop Pals both made their move, while Reading Royals and The Flying Puckhits felt the heat. There is a lot less room for a quiet week now, and one big goalie performance can still rearrange the furniture in a hurry.
