This season our scouting department will be giving an update prior to the start of each game week to give you all the information you need to get your team top of the standings.
Roster Moves
No roster moves this week so let’s have a look on the player selections to see who our GM’s have been trading for. Most traded for player last week was Glasgow’s Brett Neumann after his 50 point performance in week 25. He had another solid week with 26 points for his four new GM’s. Justin Fazio and Matt Marcinew were both added by an additional 3 GM’s with both still having a low overall number of selections with 11 and 14 respectively. Fazio picked up a win in his 14 points but it was Marcinew who stole the show with another great week with 46 points to be the fourth highest of the week.
In terms of those who have been traded away it is Gary Haden who leads the way with a drop of four overall. His blank scoring week makes that four in his last six now without troubling the scorers. There are a number of players who have dropped by two selections, of those Belfast’s Jordan Kawaguchi is interesting as he has now dropped by 10 selections from his peak of 66 just five weeks ago. He is averaging just 9.6 points across the last seven weeks, after averaging 34 from the previous four weeks.
Who’s Hot?
With only a few weeks remaining in the season now is the time to take a punt of those players with a low amount of selections who are capable of hitting some form. Let’s look at five possible difference makers –
| Player | Position | Team | Value | Form |
| Matt Marcinew | Forward | Nottingham Panthers | 9.0M | Has hit form playing on the Panthers top line with Mitch Fossier and Chase Pearson, averaging 28.7 points over the last three weeks. Still only has 14 selections. |
| Jake Kupsky | Goalie | Belfast Giants | 8.0M | The Belfast goal is currently Kupsky’s to lose and he is making the most of it averaging 26.5 points over the last three weeks. His recent move to Belfast means ownership is minimal. |
| Mick Messner | Forward | Glasgow Clan | 6.0M | New Clan signing Mick Messner has hit the ground running averaging 25.3 points over his first three weeks. Currently only owned by one GM. |
| Brett Ritchie | Forward | Sheffield Steelers | 10.0M | Not the cheapest option at 10.0M but the Steelers are starting to score and despite having one blank week, Ritchie is scoring at 24.6 points per week since he joined Sheffield. |
| Jordan Power | Defence | Coventry Blaze | 5.0M | Power is the must-have bargain at the moment at 5.0M as he has put up points in all 11 of his game weeks since joining Coventry. Still only owned by 19 GM’s. |
Not as good a week for our AI friend last week with Grant Mismash only picking up 10 points. He/She has gone for Chase Pearson –
Chase Pearson (Nottingham Panthers)
He has:
- 49 points last week
- Two favourable matchups
- Pearson’s usage is rising — PP time, top‑six minutes, and he’s driving play
- His ceiling is massive (92 earlier in the season, 49 last week
