Gameweek 24 had a bit of everything — big goalie numbers, surprise skater explosions, and a few managers quietly making serious moves up the overall ladder.
Let’s get into it.
Goalies Steal the Spotlight
When netminders are putting up skater-level fantasy numbers, you know it’s been a big week between the pipes.
- Kevin Carr led all scorers with 51.3 points, powered by 2 wins, 63 saves and a shutout
- Jake Kupsky wasn’t far behind with 50.3 points, also posting 2 wins and a shutout
- Justin Fazio chipped in with 27.9 thanks to a heavy 79-save workload
If you rolled with one of those three, you probably spent the weekend feeling pretty smug.
Carr in particular has been a difference-maker — and with multiple teams leaning on him, that shutout swung plenty of head-to-head battles.
Skaters Bring the Sauce
While the goalies were hogging the top of the leaderboard, there was no shortage of firepower up front.
- Jamal Watson topped all skaters with 58.0 points (1 goal, 4 assists)
- Jack Jacome delivered 46.0 with 2 goals and 3 assists
- Colton Saucerman (45.0) and Daniel Tedesco (41.0) kept things ticking offensively
There were also some sneaky power-play boosts — Brady Gilmour’s two PPGs added serious value for managers chasing category edges.
If you went heavy on forwards this week, you were rewarded — but only if you picked the right ones.
Overall Standings: Swad in Control
Here’s a closer look at the business end of the table — from the title race down through the chasing pack in the top 20.
The Title Race
1. Jere the Berry – 7365.6 pts
Jon Newbould remains the benchmark. Sitting top on 7365.6 points, there’s clear daylight between first and the rest — but not an unassailable gap. Consistency has been the theme here rather than explosive single weeks.
2. Ulett The Dogs Out – 7268.9 pts
Karl Seed keeps the pressure on, just under 100 points back. That’s one strong week away from being a genuine title fight again.
3. The Kessel Run – 7072.9 pts
Paul Edwards, the current holder of the Cup and was looking to do the treble until recently, has hit the 7000-point mark. There’s a noticeable drop from second to third, meaning The Kessel Run may need something big to bridge that gap upward — but equally has a buffer to those below.
The 7000-Point Pack
Just outside the podium:
- 4. A Team Has No Name – 7002.6 pts
- 5. Belaks Blaze – 6993.8 pts
- 6. The Flying Puckhits – 6986.8 pts
This trio are separated by less than 16 points combined. One decent goalie start could reshuffle all three positions in a single gameweek. The 7000-point barrier is psychologically significant, and A Team Has No Name has just nudged over it.
The Top 10 Battle
Rounding out the top ten:
- 7. Tallbergs Predators – 6932.9 pts
- 8. Nottingham Trojans – 6881.9 pts
- 9. Reading Royals – 6855.3 pts
- 10. Huskies – 6781.6 pts
There’s a slight points drop from 9th to 10th, but the real story is how tight 7th through 9th are. Just over 75 points separates 7th and 9th — easily swingable over a fortnight.
The Huskies close out the top 10 but will want to tighten that gap if they’re to stay within striking distance of the European spots — metaphorically speaking.
Positions 11–20: The Pressure Zone
This is where things get very interesting.
- 11. Puck Drop Pals – 6727.0 pts
- 12. Lambys Loons – 6700.1 pts
- 13. Shakey Sheriff’s – 6607.5 pts
- 14. Face pucks – 6592.8 pts
- 15. Newark Trashers IHC – 6586.6 pts
- 16. District 5 – 6582.0 pts
- 17. Where’d ya get ya Carr from aye – 6542.6 pts
- 18. Subbuteo Kings – 6521.2 pts
- 19. Blazin’ Squad – 6520.9 pts
- 20. Pour Some Sauce On Me – 6480.4 pts
The fight for top 10 inclusion is wide open.
From 11th to 16th there’s roughly a 145-point spread — which sounds sizeable but over multiple gameweeks can disappear quickly.
The tightest margin in the entire top 20?
Subbuteo Kings (6521.2) and Blazin’ Squad (6520.9) — separated by just 0.3 points. That’s basically three saves from a goaltender.
Meanwhile, Pour Some Sauce On Me sits at the edge of the top 20, still very much in range of a climb with one big week.
What This Tells Us
- The top two have created separation but are not safe.
- 3rd to 6th is a compression zone around 7000 points.
- 7th to 12th is volatile — weekly swings will reshape this constantly.
- 17th to 20th are within striking distance of top 15 with a strong fortnight.
- There are multiple mini-battles happening inside the top 20, not just one title race.
At this stage of the season, it’s less about explosive single weeks and more about avoiding the 180–220 point disasters. Consistency is what is keeping teams inside this top 20 bracket.
Big Movers & Momentum Watch
This week’s big scorers are:
- HC Swad – 442.2
- Krakens – 411.8
- Puck Drop Pals – 390.8
- The Crease Crashers – 385.2
- Massive Deke – 382.3
This explains the movement we’re seeing overall — especially for Swad and Massive Deke. A 380–440 point week is the kind that pushes you up multiple season-long spots.
Tactical Takeaways
- Goalie upside is massive right now. Shutouts are swinging standings.
- Multi-point forwards with PP exposure are gold.
- The gap at the top is widening — but the fight for the top 10 is chaos.
We’re deep enough into the season now that consistency matters — but as this week proved, one properly nuclear performance can still flip your trajectory.
If you’re chasing? This was the blueprint: elite goalie, high-usage forward, and let the fantasy gods do the rest.
Gameweek 25 loading… and the pressure is very real.
