This season our scouting department will be giving an update prior to the start of each game week to give you all the information you need to get your team top of the standings.
Roster Moves
We have two new signings to look at this week with one slightly more controversial than the other. Lets start with Cardiff bringing in the imposing 6’7″ Steven MacLean who has played the last two and a half years with Cincinnati of the ECHL. More renowned for his defence than offensive output he is added into the game at 5.0M. For the 14 GM’s who have Cedric Lacroix on their roster, news also broke that he will miss the next 6-8 weeks with an injury.
Now, after the Glasgow Clan mutually agreed to terminate the contract of Mitchell Heard last week, fans will be slightly disappointed to see him sign with Sheffield this week. He will shortly be moved across from Glasgow to Sheffield in the game, so you will need to use a trade if you wish to keep him in your team. Heard will be spared the welcome back to Glasgow on Wednesday as he will not ice with his new team.
Who’s Hot?
Our two top overall scorers entering the week both had blank weeks which has tightened up the the scoring race and moved Mike Lee into top spot. Lee has so far scored at least 25 points each week and been very consistent in his scoring despite what is a fairly poor start to the season for Belfast. Other big movers this week are Jackson Whistle and Ben Bowns who used some bonus shutout points to move over 100 points on the season and make themselves the top scoring goalies on the season.

Gary Haden picked up 29 points last week and as we predicted managed to get on the scoresheet when returning to Glasgow. With four teams playing three times this week we have plenty of options to choose from for our pick of the week. With Nottingham having a game in Fife then two games against Dundee lets go for a Panthers player. Mitch Fossier is leading them in scoring so far so lets go back in with him for the week.
Current average points per week so far – 26 points.

Upcoming Schedule
We have some midweek action in Fife and Glasgow this week. The Flyers, still searching for their first league win, host the Nottingham Panthers, while Glasgow Clan welcome Sheffield Steelers to Braehead Arena. All four of these teams will play three times this week.
On Friday night, league leaders Manchester Storm face Guildford Flames in Challenge Cup action at the Storm Shelter.
That Storm–Flames matchup forms part of a home-and-home series, with the return game taking place in Surrey on Saturday. Elsewhere that night, Clan travel to Cardiff, Sheffield visit Coventry, and Fife make another trip to Belfast.
The Nottingham Panthers are on the road in Dundee on Saturday before hosting the Stars at home on Sunday to complete their doubleheader. Sunday’s schedule also sees Sheffield Steelers host Cardiff Devils in a crucial Group A Challenge Cup clash, while Fife Flyers welcome Belfast Giants to Kirkcaldy and Glasgow Clan round out their weekend in Coventry.
